The Product Engineering Manager will lead the Product Engineering team and own engineering activities across the full product lifecycle – from NPI (New Product Introduction) transfer into production through ongoing manufacturing support, continuous improvement, and long-term product stability.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a technically strong engineer who thrives at the intersection of product definition, manufacturing operations, and quality. You will manage a team of approximately four engineers and serve as the primary engineering point of contact across R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production. The role is based on-site in Jerusalem and is central to ensuring that Alpha Tau’s complex medical devices are manufactured reliably, consistently, and to the highest standards.
Required
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in product engineering or manufacturing-support engineering
Hands-on experience with ECO processes, BOM management, and ERP systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, data-driven approach
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across multiple teams and functions
Fluent English – written and spoken
Preferred
Prior managerial experience or team / project leadership
Experience in a regulated medical device environment (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, EU MDR)
Experience with NPI and design transfer in a precision or medical manufacturing setting
Experience with SolidWorks
