Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field 5+ years of hands-on experience in a leading physics role Demonstrated experience designing and building non-linear optical systems, short pulses lasers, and systems where plasma and atomic physics takes place. Extensive knowledge in Nonlinear Optical processes and light matter interaction (e.g. multi photon transitions) Experience with Ultrafast Laser Optics (coherent quantum control an advantage). Experience with state of the art detection methods and lab instrumentation. Post-doc or above, preferably in plasma/atomic physics/short pulses laser physics. Experience in solving safety and compliance problems using theoretical and experimental inputs. Familiarity with system requirements definition and specification development Outstanding system understanding with the ability to understand cross-subject risks and problems. Outstanding communicator with the ability to present complex technical findings to diverse audiences Collaborative team player who thrives in multidisciplinary, cross-functional environments
