We are looking for an Engineering Director to join our engineering leadership team, reporting directly to the VP of Engineering.
In this leadership role, you will own & manage a multi-disciplinary Engineering group spanning AIgo, full-stack, AIOps, QA, and data - accountable for delivery, people, and business outcomes. You will work closely with a Principal Product Manager who sets direction, and directly manage a Product Owner embedded in your team.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Own your Engineering group delivery end-to-end - planning, prioritization, dependencies, risks, and outcomes.
Drive accountability: commitments are kept, blockers are surfaced early, and quality is non-negotiable.
Directly manage all engineers and the Product Owner in your squad, supported by functional guilds.
Run 1:1s, give meaningful feedback, support growth, and build a high-accountability team culture.
Provide technical guidance in close partnership with Principal Architects and senior engineers.
Stay engaged enough to earn trust, spot risk early, and make informed trade-off calls.
Connect your squad's work to UVeye's business outcomes. Always ask why it matters before deciding what to build.
Participate actively in leadership discussions on roadmap, resourcing, and strategy.
What You Bring:
7+ years in engineering, including 4+ years in management with direct experience managing managers.
A track record leading multi-disciplinary teams in fast-paced, product-led organizations
Solid technical grounding in distributed systems, data pipelines, APIs, and production software
B.Sc. in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
What Sets You Apart:
You lead people first - coaching, feedback, and growth aren't afterthoughts
You're credible across disciplines (AI, full-stack, QA, data) without needing to be the expert in every one
You connect engineering decisions to customer and business outcomes, not just technical elegance
You communicate with clarity - turning complexity into direction for your team and confidence for leadership
Why UVeye:
Operate at the intersection of AI, real-world systems, and large-scale enterprise deployments.
Be part of the engineering leadership team - with real influence over how and what we build.
Your work ships to production and reaches real customers, at scale, every day.
Shape how engineering works at UVeye - not just what ships next quarter.
Competitive compensation and room to grow as the company scales.
