Minimum 6+ years managing R&D engineering teams, including direct management of team leads or senior engineers. Strong hands-on technical background: Linux environments, CI/CD systems, build automation, container/virtualization infrastructure, and system-level software. Proven track record improving complex integration pipelines, release readiness processes, and developer productivity workflows. Experience evaluating and rolling out AI/ML-based developer tools (e.g., code generation, automated testing, documentation assistants) in engineering organizations. Excellent communication and multi-functional leadership — able to align engineering leaders and turn ambiguous operational or usability problems into clear priorities and measurable outcomes. Ways to stand out from the crowd: Direct familiarity with DOCA, BlueField DPUs, SmartNICs, or data center infrastructure software. Experience improving out-of-the-box product experience, provisioning workflows, or customer-facing deployment documentation for complex hardware/software platforms. Background leading DevOps or platform engineering at scale in a large R&D organization shipping system-level software. Track record of adopting AI coding assistants, automated PR review, or AI-based QA tools in a real production engineering context.
