B.Sc. or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline 4+ years of industry experience in mechanical design for consumer electronics or precision hardware Experience with optical systems design Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (NX preferred) Experience in failure analysis (FA) of mechanical and structural components Strong command of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and mechanical drawing standards Deep familiarity with consumer product manufacturing processes — injection molding, sheet metal, CNC machining Exceptional problem-solving instincts and the ability to drive complex, ambiguous challenges to resolution Strong communication skills and ability to align large, multi-disciplinary teams around bold engineering decisions M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field Proven FEM analysis experience: thermal, static structural, dynamic, vibration, and drop-testing Familiarity with embedded electronics platforms and basic EE integration Experience with 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA) for rapid prototyping Track record of shipping products to mass production 6+ years of industry experience in a relevant field
