Product Designer (Mobile Native oriented)
Product, Ramat Gan, Israel (Hybrid)
Description
Rakuten Viber is one of the most popular and downloaded apps in the world. Working with us is a chance to influence hundreds of millions of users and be part of the journey that makes us a super-app. Our mission is to make people’s lives easier by enabling meaningful connections, from precious moments with family and friends, through managing business relationships to pursuing their passions.
We’re looking for an experienced Product Designer with strong craft, a data-driven instinct, and a genuine curiosity for how things work. This is an end-to-end role from discovery to delivery, on a product that handles people’s money and trust.
Why this role is different:
You’re joining a design team that is genuinely rethinking how it works with AI, and already putting it into practice
You’ll work in a real feedback culture with short loops between design, product, and leadership. A manager who runs 1:1s focused on your growth and expects you to drive it yourself.
Responsibilities
Lead the full design process: discovery, research, prototyping, testing, final design
Use AI tools actively across your work, research synthesis, ideation, prototyping, workflow automation. Build on what exists and bring new approaches to the team
Help shape AI-driven product features in a super-app that is actively integrating AI into the user experience
Conduct hands-on research: user interviews, usability tests, digging into data and analytics
Contribute to and help evolve the design system shared across Viber products
Stay connected to the bigger picture, how design decisions tie into product KPIs and business outcomes
Requirements
5+ years of product design experience (that include some B2C mobile products)
Genuine AI fluency: you use LLMs daily, you’ve built custom workflows, you’ve used vibe coding, Figma AI, or similar. You’re always looking for what’s next
Someone who takes full ownership, from framing the problem to shipping, without needing to be told what to do next
Leads with data: digs into data and analytics independently, understands the metrics behind a feature before jumping to solutions
Strong UX foundation with real attention to detail. Get the details right: microcopy, edge cases, error states, micro-interactions.
Comfortable running your own research
Clear communicator, in writing and in conversation, across product, engineering, and leadership
Availability to work in a hybrid model – at least 3 days a week from the office.
