We’re looking for a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Advanced Munitions Group, owning mechanical design from concept to production and supporting our mission to strengthen Western defense capabilities.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize mechanical components, assemblies, and mechanisms throughout the lifecycle—from concept and detailed design through prototyping, validation, and production.
Assemble, test, and troubleshoot prototypes in the lab, driving design improvements.
Collaborate with hardware, electronics, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams to balance performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
Create complex CAD models and detailed production drawings using SolidWorks.
Travel to manufacturing sites and suppliers as needed to support production and validation.
Requirements
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of experience in mechanical design of multidisciplinary products.
2+ years of professional experience designing for plastic injection molding, including Moldflow analysis.
Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks.
Experience designing mechanisms, with strong engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
In-depth knowledge of plastic injection molding, CNC machining, and sheet metal design, including design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA).
Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping and prototype development, with willingness to work in the lab and on the production floor.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
