About the role The SDET role involves ensuring quality and reliability for cloud services by designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts. Responsibilities include identifying, reporting, and tracking software defects to maintain exceptional product standards. As an Automation Test Engineer, you will be responsible for: Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites for cloud computing services. Collaborating with software developers and system engineers to understand system architecture, design, and functionality to create comprehensive test plans. Performing thorough testing of networking components and cloud-based applications to identify and resolve potential issues Designing & developing stress tests to assess the scalability, reliability, and performance of cloud-based applications and networking components. Developing and executing automated tests for containerized applications using Docker and virtual machines (VM). Creating clear, concise test cases, detailed test plans, and comprehensive bug reports ensures thorough documentation and effective quality assurance. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Conducting root cause analysis of identified defects, providing detailed information to assist in the resolution process.
