A leading electronics manufacturing company in the defense industry, is seeking an experienced Material Manager to lead a Material Planning team.

What You’ll Do
Manage a small team of Material Planners.
Manage materials and shortage reports using an ERP system.
Run and analyze MRP processes.
Open and manage production/work orders and schedule production activities across manufacturing lines.
Manage and schedule material requirements while maintaining ongoing operational control.
Perform material simulations and analyze material availability against production requirements.
Manage inventory levels and ensure material availability to support production plans.
Expedite, postpone, or cancel purchase orders according to changing material requirements and production needs.
Resolve material-related issues with suppliers, including shortages, scrap, inventory discrepancies, and materials required for ongoing production.
Work closely with Procurement, Warehouse, Production, Engineering, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Manage material requirements and work plans with subcontractors.
Job Requirements
Relevant academic degree – required.
Previous management or leadership experience – required/preferred, including previous military leadership experience.
At least 2 years of proven experience in a relevant Material Planning / Material Management position – required.
Strong hands-on experience in Material Management / Material Planning – required.
Proven experience in Inventory Management – required.
Experience working with subcontractors, including material management and work-plan coordination.
Strong understanding of Warehouse and Procurement processes – required.
Experience working with ERP systems and familiarity with Priority ERP – required.
Hands-on experience with MRP processes.
Experience with production/work orders and material scheduling.
Familiarity with Engineering processes and Configuration Control – required.
Familiarity with Agile systems/tools – an advantage.
High level of English.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Ability to work independently in a dynamic, high-pressure manufacturing environment.
Strong service orientation and excellent cross-functional communication skills.
Willingness to work additional hours when required.
