7+ years developing automated testing in Python, including 3+ years owning the design of test frameworks- fixtures, runners, shared libraries, and the patterns other engineers build on. Deep Pytest expertise: you've built plugins, custom hooks, and conftest architectures, and can make and defend design decisions 4+ years architecting and operating test infrastructure on a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure): provisioning environments, managing cost/scale, and building the systems others run their tests against. 4+ years with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar), including designing pipelines and the surrounding release/quality gates - not just maintaining them. Expert debugging across the full stack - backend/APIs, UI, and system-level - with a track record of root-causing systemic issues (not just individual failures) and eliminating flakiness at the suite level. Administrator-level proficiency on both Windows and Linux: services, permissions, networking, and environment configuration, including scripting and automating that setup. Proven experience designing and maintaining cross-platform test coverage (Windows, Linux, macOS), including strategies for handling OS-specific behavior at scale. Experience standardizing test reporting and results aggregation across teams (ReportPortal, Allure, or equivalent). Track record of raising engineering standards: mentoring engineers, driving adoption of testing practices across teams, and influencing how quality is built into the development process. Nice to Have 3+ years in performance/load automation: defining strategy, building scenarios, and interpreting results to influence system design (Locust, k6, JMeter, or similar). Experience leading test-infrastructure initiatives end to end, or acting as a technical lead on an automation effort.
