Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Senior Bookkeeper to join our Tel Aviv office. As the sole bookkeeper for our management companies in Israel and the US, you'll be responsible for the full accounting cycle across our entities, working side by side with the Financial Controller. This includes owning the monthly close, running payroll in both jurisdictions, managing AP, spend and banking, and supporting management reporting and analysis. This role offers full ownership from day one, direct exposure to the inner workings of a global investment firm, and the opportunity to take initiative, shape how our finance function works, and flourish within a supportive, highly collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping and close: full-cycle bookkeeping in Priority (Israel) and QuickBooks Online (US). Monthly close, journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, bank and card reconciliations, standalone reporting per entity.
Multi-currency and intercompany: ILS/USD books, intercompany billing between the Israeli and US entities, intercompany reconciliation.
Israeli payroll: end to end, including pension, study fund, severance, leave, new hires and separations, and statutory filings.
US payroll: via our PEO (ADP TotalSource / Deel), including onboarding, changes, terminations and payroll tax reconciliation. Reconcile payroll to the GL and to the payroll budget.
AP, spend and banking: vendor onboarding, invoice processing, approval flow and payment runs. Corporate card and expense management in Mesh. Wire preparation within our approval controls.
Reporting and analysis: Budget vs. Actual and variance analysis, plus ad hoc analyses on payroll, vendor and software spend and FX exposure.
Process and automation: improve and automate recurring workflows with AI tools, Excel and our systems, rather than repeating manual work every month.
Qualifications
Must Have:
8+ years of bookkeeping experience, including hands-on Israeli payroll
Israeli certified bookkeeper (Type 3) and certified payroll controller (chashav sachar)
Both Israeli and US books, ideally including US payroll via a PEO or EOR
Priority, QuickBooks and advanced Excel (pivots, lookups, large data sets)
Mesh or a comparable spend and card management platform
Strong written and spoken English
Genuinely tech oriented, with practical experience using AI tools in day-to-day finance work
Independent, highly motivated, exceptionally organized and detail oriented, with strong work ethic and discretion
Comfortable owning the books alone: running the calendar, chasing what is missing, flagging issues early
Nice to Have:
VC, PE or asset management background
Multi-entity, multi-currency and intercompany structures
Transfer pricing, VAT or cross-border tax exposure
Supporting external audits and investor due diligence
