Job Summary
Your Career:
As a an experienced Software Engineer (Staff level), you will play an active role in developing, scaling, and expanding the agentic capabilities within the Cortex platform. In this position, you will help the team translate emerging LLM technology into robust, production-ready capabilities. You will contribute to the core frameworks and automation assets that power autonomous security workflows, ensuring high execution performance, scalability, and seamless integrations across the Cortex ecosystem.
Your Impact:
Technical Engineering: Write high-quality, efficient code to address key LLM platform considerations such as latency, context optimization, and determinism in production environments.
Automation Infrastructure: Support the foundational infrastructure for agentic capabilities, enabling contributors to publish content and delivering them seamlessly to the platform.
Operational Excellence: Help establish and maintain automation execution pipelines, ensuring smooth software deliveries, script automation, and continuous quality governance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with senior engineers, product managers, and security researchers to design and deploy cohesive platform automation capabilities.
Qualifications
Your experience:
3 up to 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong programming proficiency in Python, with a working knowledge of Go.
Solid understanding of prompting techniques and context management strategies.
Hands-on experience with core system design principles and microservice architectures.
Proven capability in codebase execution, end-to-end testing, and automated release workflows.
Familiarity with security workflows, REST APIs, and automated response capabilities.
Strong hands-on experience with continuous integration and release delivery automation (CI/CD pipelines, Bash scripting, containerized build environments, and automated deployment scripting).
Experience implementing telemetry, execution tracking, and observability tools for software services.
