Morning is looking for a data-driven, analytical, and strategic Head of Revenue Growth & Marketing to lead our growth engine and turn marketing into a powerful driver of revenue.
In this role, you’ll own the full marketing-to-revenue funnel- from user acquisition and trial performance through activation, conversion, and ultimately ARR growth.
This is fundamentally a revenue-generating marketing leadership role. It's about selling through marketing, not building or managing a traditional outbound sales organization.
You won't need to rebuild the wheel - you will inherit an exceptionally capable execution team.
You must deeply understand brand dynamics and how PLG and brand performance/positioning work together to drive sustainable growth. Your mission is to provide the strategic vision, positioning excellence, performance rigor, and PLG funnel mastery needed to scale top-of-funnel reach, drive ARR growth, and optimize conversion rates from free trial to paid account.
What You’ll Own
Strategic Leadership & Growth Vision
Define and execute the overarching GTM (Go-To-Market) strategy for user acquisition, freemium-to-paid conversion, and customer expansion.
Own key performance indicators (KPIs) across CAC, LTV, Payback Period, Trial-to-Paid Conversion%, Activation Rate, and Net Revenue Retention (NRR).
Audience & Market Research: Conduct deep-dive benchmarking, competitor analysis, and audience research (SMBs, freelancers, accountants) to identify untapped growth channels and positioning gaps.
GTM & Product Alignment: Partner with Product, Studio and Analytics teams to align initiatives with key feature launches and ensure frictionless user onboarding and trial journeys.
Brand Awareness & Budgeting: Partner with the Brand Manager to define the overarching brand awareness strategy. Provide strategic guidance on the allocation of awareness budgets, ensuring spend is optimized for long-term brand power and aligns with broader business growth objectives.
Media & Channel Strategy: Partner with the Brand Manager to architect an integrated media distribution mix across OOH, digital, TV/CTV, podcasts, and sponsorships, strategically directing budget allocation to maximize market penetration, brand consideration, and acquisition momentum.
Performance Marketing & Acquisition Oversight
Direct and refine our performance marketing initiatives across paid search, social, organic/SEO, GEO, referral, and strategic partnership channels.
Allocate marketing budgets with extreme data discipline, prioritizing high-intent SMB/solopreneur channels with optimal CAC:LTV efficiency.
Experiment with new growth channels (affiliate networks, platform integrations, financial ecosystem partners).
Funnel Optimization & Trial Conversion (PLG)
Oversee the end-to-end user trial experience, optimizing conversion rates at every stage of the funnel.
Work to refine in-app triggers, automated email/SMS lifecycles, and push notifications that drive product adoption.
Implement automated, marketing-led conversion strategies and product-led growth motions for high-intent SMB leads entering via free trials.
Team Enablement & Mentorship
Lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing team of performance marketers, and acquisition specialists.
Foster a fast-paced, hypothesis-driven testing culture built on continuous experimentation and data transparency.
Remove blockers, streamline workflows, and ensure alignment between GTM execution and broader company goals.
Requirements:
7+ years of deep marketing leadership experience in a fast-paced B2B or B2C SaaS environment—ideally serving SMBs, freelancers, or micro-businesses—with a proven track record of using marketing methodologies to drive ARR growth.
Deep, proven expertise running Product-Led Growth funnels. You understand how self-serve loops work, how to drive high-volume trial signups, and how to convert them into paying users.
Highly analytical with strong experience using product analytics and attribution tools (e.g., Amplitude, HubSpot, Tableau/Looker). You make decisions backed by cohort analysis and conversion metrics.
Strong ability to connect brand, messaging, performance marketing, and acquisition with product adoption, conversion, and revenue growth across the full funnel
Strategic leadership with a strong ability to empower high-performing teams, scale their impact, and amplify impact without micromanaging.
