Quantum Art, a full stack quantum computing company, develop state of the art quantum computing systems based on trapped ions technology (both hardware and software). As part of our mission, our team builds our quantum processing units (QPUs), develops novel quantum gates and circuits, and implements new algorithms capable of solving hard computational tasks, beyond current classical computational abilities. We are looking for a Sr. Software Developer to join the quantum logical level effort, working at the intersection of theory, algorithms, and software engineering. This role focuses on building production-grade software infrastructure for the quantum logic stack: implementing and orchestrating compilation methods and compiler passes; preparing circuits for hardware execution; defining tool APIs and stable software interfaces; integrating compilation flows into different runtime environments; and developing validation, testing and simulation tools. Key responsibilities Develop and maintain the quantum compilation tool chain, including compilation flow orchestration, pass management and backend adaptation to prepare high level circuits for execution on target hardware. Define APIs and software interfaces between the compiler stack and adjacent services, including runtime environments and task-routing systems. Support compiler adaptation across multiple generations of quantum hardware, accounting for changing device constraints and capabilities. Integration into other software infrastructures and development of integration environments. Implement selected algorithms and algorithmic sub-routines efficiently, including performance-critical components, in Python and where appropriate, Rust/C++ Develop validation, testing, regression, and debugging infrastructure for compiler outputs and backend-generated artifacts. Contribute to architecture decisions across theory, compiler, and software infrastructure layers. The work involves development and implementati
