We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead strategic and tactical procurement activities, including supplier management, subcontractor management, and import/export operations.
Job Description
Lead strategic and tactical procurement activities, including purchasing planning, supplier management, and procurement processes.
Manage the tactical procurement team, including order approvals, OTD measurement, deliveries, and returns.
Oversee and control material arrivals and shortages in alignment with production work plans.
Manage order confirmations and track expected delivery dates.
Manage mechanical subcontractors and suppliers.
Manage and oversee import and export activities related to procurement and materials.
Oversee materials related to OBS (Obsolete) and EOL (End-of-Life) activities, ensuring smooth transitions.
Implement and execute MRP recommendations for material postponement or advancement.
Establish and develop advanced procurement and work methods.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
Report to the Director.
Requirements
Relevant degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering & Management, or equivalent relevant experience.
At least 5 years of experience working with suppliers and subcontractors.
At least 5 years of experience in a similar purchasing/procurement role within a manufacturing organization.
Experience in strategic procurement – a significant advantage.
Experience in the defense industry – a significant advantage.
Experience working with Priority – an advantage.
High-level English – mandatory.
Strong teamwork skills, proactivity, and a “Can-Do” approach.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
