Who you are 5+ years of software engineering experience, building and operating production systems Strong hands-on Node.js + TypeScript experience, building backend services (preferably NestJS) Strong fundamentals: REST APIs, async patterns, debugging, and performance considerations Experience working with data sources (SQL and NoSQL) Experience with distributed systems: caching (Redis), queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ), containers/K8s Strong knowledge of CI/CD, feature flags, and environment separation (dev/test/prod) Genuine fluency with AI-powered development tools you use them daily to move faster Strong evaluation instincts you define metrics, build test sets, and validate before shipping Comfortable across the full stack you move between backend services, data pipelines, and infrastructure as needed High degree of independence you lead work from problem definition to production without waiting for detailed specs Excellent communication you flag risks early, give direct feedback, and collaborate openly Strong learning ability fast to pick up new domains, tools, and patterns, and comfortable working in ambiguity
