At AITAN, we accelerate the delivery of the most advanced drones and AI capabilities directly into the hands of warfighters.
Our universal controller lets one operators seamlessly orchestrate multiple drones, shifting risk to machines and keeping soldiers safer while providing superior intelligence and situational awareness.
We are looking for a senior, versatile hands-on Hardware Engineer to independently own PCB development from architecture and component selection through schematic design, layout, bring-up, debugging, and release to production.
This role requires someone who is comfortable doing the work hands-on, while serving as a technical focal point through design reviews, mentorship, and close collaboration with software, mechanical, and system engineers.
What you'll do
Own board-development projects end to end - components choice and electrical system definition, schematic design, hands-on PCB layout, transfer to production, hands-on board bringup, testing, debugging and validation
Serve as a professional focal point for PCB design across digital, mixed-signal, RF, and power domains, leading schematic and layout design reviews
Collaborate closely with mechanics, embedded software and system engineers during design, integration and testing
Expand to broader technical initiatives outside of core PCB design, such as embedded software, RF system-level work, and other areas of additional expertise
What You'll Do
Requirements
Ability to independently drive rapid board iterations while collaborating effectively with hardware, software, mechanical, and system engineering counterparts
6+ years of relevant hardware engineering experience
Proven experience delivering PCB designs from concept to production
Extensive hands-on PCB layout experience using professional ECAD tools
Strong digital and mixed-signal design fundamentals; experience with digital interfaces such as USB, Ethernet, MIPI, and CAN bus
Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
B.Sc. in electrical or electronics engineering, or equivalent experience
Bonus Points
Embedded software development experience
RF front-end design, antenna integration, RF measurements, or VNA experience
KiCad experience
Experience with military, industrial, or similar certification processes
