We are looking for a talented, passionate and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. You will help design and build the backend and data pipeline behind Sygnia’s leading XDR platform, operating at large scale and under real-world production constraints. We’re looking for someone with strong distributed systems fundamentals, high coding standards, and a collaborative, hands-on approach. Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of key backend components in Sygnia’s flagship product Build and operate a high-throughput data pipeline handling terabytes of data per day, with a focus on performance, reliability, and cost Drive engineering best practices (testing, observability, CI/CD, code review, technical design) and contribute to product/technical innovation Mentor engineers and help grow a strong engineering culture; learn and collaborate across teams Requirements: Requirements : 5+ years of backend engineering experience building production systems 3+ years of professional Python experience Proven experience designing and building large-scale, performant distributed systems Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes, and with a cloud provider (preferably AWS) Experience with one or more modern data stores / data platforms such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Redis and data lake formats (e.g., Parquet/Iceberg) Strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate technical ideas and tradeoffs High proficiency in English (written and spoken) Collaborative, responsible team player who enjoys working in a dynamic, business-oriented environment Advantage: Microservices architecture experience Experience applying AI tools/assistants to engineering workflows (e.g., productivity, code quality, debugging, automation) Experience in cybersecurity / security products
