Design & Development: Lead cross-functional reviews of engineering samples, drawings, and BOMs to mitigate quality risks during early production phases.
DFM & Reporting: Generate and analyze Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reports to document discrepancies and champion process optimization.
Supplier & Material Quality: Oversee inspection and testing of early-run materials; partner with suppliers to resolve quality issues and close the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) loop.
Pilot Production: Manage pilot runs with a focus on reliability and traceability. Validate equipment, fixtures, and Work Instructions (WI) to ensure all design requirements are met.
Performance Monitoring: Analyze production yields and quality metrics, collaborating with Contract Manufacturers (CM) to develop and execute improvement plans.
Quality Control: Establish robust QC inspection guidelines and set up quality control points for initial batches; provide hands-on training and oversight to the QC team.
Issue Management: Proactively manage and monitor all engineering and quality concerns from identification through to final resolution.
