We are looking for an experienced Communication System Team Leader to join a leading technology company developing advanced modem and DSP solutions for next generation wireless communication systems.
In this role, you will lead a highly technical System and Algorithm team responsible for defining next generation modem products and developing advanced communication algorithms for 5G systems.
The position sits at the intersection of research, system architecture, algorithm development and
implementation, with close collaboration across VLSI and Software teams.
What you'll be doing
- Lead and mentor senior System and Algorithm engineers
- Define modem system architecture and communication algorithms for advanced 5G solutions
- Drive system level decisions across DSP, Software and Hardware implementations
- Work closely with VLSI and Software teams throughout the modem development lifecycle
- Evaluate trade offs between performance, implementation complexity, real time constraints and time to market
- Own system definitions, requirements and specifications from early research and simulation through implementation and release
- Develop and evaluate models using MATLAB, C, C++ and SystemC
- Drive technical excellence and contribute to the development of future wireless communication
technologies
What we need to see
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in communication algorithm development and modem system definition
- Strong background in Digital Signal Processing and modem design
- Hands on experience with MATLAB, C and embedded implementation
- Deep system level understanding and strong independent problem solving skills
- Experience leading a technical team or serving in a strong technical leadership role
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with global and multidisciplinary teams
